My food philosophy
I believe you should eat what makes you feel good. I focus on mostly healthy, whole foods in my kitchen, but believe life is too short to not eat French pastries once in a while so you’ll find a few indulgent treats tucked in here and there.
The recipes and cooking techniques on this site cater to both traditional unrestricted diets as well as gluten-free and refined sugar-free diets; including Keto, Paleo, Low-FODMAP/SIBO, and Whole30.
I’m not a perfect cook. I have a knack for accidentally leaving the sweetener out of the pumpkin pie nearly every Thanksgiving, but I make up for it by always remembering to buy extra wine. I think a slice of fresh sourdough bread with butter and flaky salt is pure bliss, cheese is its own kind of magic, and tacos are just good for the soul.
From time-to-time, I will invite you along on my non-kitchen adventures. Sometimes they involve whisky tasting in the Scottish highlands and other times they might involve more introverted adventures, such as what I’m reading at the moment ->> I’d love for you to join me in my Goodreads Reading Challenge!
